Welcome to Simple Dreams Crochet! My name is Brielle and I'm glad you're here! I'm a self-taught crocheter with a focus on simple techniques and patterns to make crochet accessible for all levels of fiber artists.
Growing up, I always admired the handmade touches that my great grandmother had all over her house. We were incredibly close and I always wish I would have asked her to teach me more. When she passed away, I inherited all of her crochet, knitting and sewing supplies, and decided it was time to teach myself some new hobbies. I had moved to a new city and been struggling to find a job in my field, and crochet became an incredible creative outlet for me.
Over the last couple of years as I began refining my crochet skills, I often found that ideas I had in my head for projects didn't seem to exist in books or on the internet, so I thought, why not start making my own patterns? So in the summer of 2024, I began doing just that!
The name simple dreams comes from my favorite Linda Ronstadt album, named for a beautiful song she covered written by JD Souther. I've always been drawn to the simple life - nothing makes me happier than sitting on the porch with my cats, a cup of tea and a crochet project.
